The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “ Shall I not inform you about the inmates of Hell? It is every violent, impertinent and proud person. [Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim] Dear brothers and sister, To think oneself greater in comparison with other people is pride. A proud man is who can’t accept admonitions as there is pride in him. The devil is the best instance of pride. He was driven out paradise by God as he toke pride and did not prostrate before Adam in obedience to God’s command. He said: You have created me of fire and Adam of clay. For this reason, our Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Who has an atom of pride in him will not enter Paradise”.

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of Hell. ( Surah No. 35, Fatir, Verse No.6) Dear brothers and sister, Satan always comes to the believer from his weak side in order to lead him astray.  If Satan finds a person rigorous in a particular act, he comes to him from another direction.  For example, if a student is careful in his study, then Satan will attempt to sway him regarding a girlfriend or a boyfriend. Satan continually attempts to prevent us from making the right choice. But Allah wants us to purify and distance ourselves from Satan.
